The Red Wing Shoe Company had an office in Dallas, Texas as early as 1923 to serve the unique market of ranchers, cowboys and oil drilling roughnecks in the region. In 1958, this pull-on, Roper-style boot was introduced & given a new name, Pecos, after a small town in the Permian Basin and since then, itās evolved into one of Red Wingās most popular styles, thanks to its simple design, comfortable fit, and rugged good looks.Ā
The 8060 is expertly crafted from their iconic Hawthorne Muleskinner leather that breaks in beautifully over time, and comes finished with an oil-resistant brown Chemigum sole for a sure-footed grip out in the field, and their classic Goodyear welt construction to extend the life of each pair by decades. This one runs a little big & we recommend sizing down by a half size.Ā
