In 1987 the Grateful Dead released their twelfth studio album, In The Dark. The album featured the song Touch Of Grey, which would become the bands only Top Forty single and their highest selling hit. This was mainly thanks to the advent of video, which meant the song gained heavy rotation on MTV, introducing the Dead’s music to a whole new generation.
